“Queer Refugees Deutschland” is getting involved in the federal initiative for violence prevention
On the 15th of November, the national initiative “Protection of refugees in refugee accommodation” held what was already its third networking meeting. The subject this time was the often massive psycho-social pressures that refugees find themselves facing in group accommodation. The LSVD (Lesbian and Gay Federation in Germany) and the “Queer Refugees Deutschland” project outlined their experience of providing support for LGBTIQ+ refugees – for whom group accommodation often represents a huge source of fear and anxiety.

“Self-organization in social context”
Seventh nationwide networking meeting of refugee LGBTIQ+ activists in Cologne.
LGBTIQ+ activists from all over Germany have met for the seventh time to continue their activities in their network. This time, the meeting took place again in the form of a seminar in Cologne in cooperation with the Lesbian and Gay Federation in Germany (LSVD).

New ILGA World Map now available in German
A few months ago, the International Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Intersex Association (ILGA) has published their new World Map in English. It gives an overview of the global legal situation of lesbian, gay and bisexual persons in 2019. The Lesbian and Gay Federation in Germany (LSVD) has now translated the world map into German.

“Migrant organizations and networks in Germany – introduction and overview”
The sixth workshop was on the subject of “migrant self-organizations in Germany”. Fifth Germany-wide networking meeting of refugee LGBTIQ+ activists in Magdeburg
Refugee LGBTIQ+ activists from all over Germany have met for the fifth time in order to plan about the incoming activities within the network for next two years. This time, the meeting was held in the form of an interactive workshop in Magdeburg, in cooperation with “LSVD Sachsen-Anhalt”.
